    WhatsApp Undo Feature: What’s Different?

Remember those seconds of utter horror of posting something on your WhatsApp status and regretting it almost immediately? Although the platform offers a way out by giving an option to delete the status which is easily done. But it looks like the messaging platform is trying to save its users a few more seconds. This new WhatsApp Undo feature will let your delete that status in a jiffy.

Even though WhatsApp does not really put its status as prominently as others like Instagram or Facebook do. Both those platforms allow people to delete Stories. But if some users want a WhatsApp Undo feature, the feature is almost en route. According to a new report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing an undo-button next to status updates.

Clicking on the option will reportedly allow users to quickly take down a posted status update. Currently, to take down a posted status, users must first tap on a three-dot menu and tap delete in the options that follow. Although a bit longer, it does the same thing as the awaited Undo feature will do. The latter will only just save a few more seconds from the previously available option.

As you can see from the image above, it will be similar to that of Gmail’s. For Gmail, the users are given the option to undo their mail for a few seconds beside a pop-up message indicating a mail has been sent. In the same way, WhatsApp will also be offering an Undo option alongside indicating status sent.

In separate news, the platform now has multi-device support. Users can now use WhatsApp across devices without requiring the phone to always be in connection. The company also announced a partnership with Uber yesterday. This will allow users in India to book cabs on the ride-sharing platform using WhatsApp.
