The Witcher: Monster Slayer will be officially available on Android and iOS on July 21. Spokko, which was bought by CD Projekt Capital Group in 2018, developed and published the free-to-play augmented reality (AR) role-playing game (RPG). Pre-registration for the new mobile game is already open on the Google Play store, and those who do so will receive an in-game gift as part of their inventory. The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a game set in the Witcher universe, based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s books and CD Projekt’s games.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is all set to release on July 21st, according to a post made by the Polish developer last week. The game is similar to Pokemon Go in terms of functionality, but it has creatures and characters from the Witcher universe. Players will take on the role of new ‘witchers’ and engage in location-based gameplay. Players will be fighting a range of monsters while physically exploring the area around them. It sets long before the series of The Witcher games.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is currently available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store for Android users. Pre-registered players will receive the Kaer Morhen Steel Sword, in their inventory when the game launches. Killing creatures with this sword earns players 10% more Experience Points in the game. Early access registrations for the game were opened in April.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer was first unveiled in August of last year. The company released a gameplay trailer showcasing the game’s monsters, missions, and other features. Similar to Pokemon Go, it will display a map of the area around the player. The game will follow their movements, generating quests or monster encounters around the territory.
