The auto-delete message feature, which was available to users making use of Secret Chats, will be available for normal chats. It will be also applicable to groups and channels. Users can auto-delete messages based on a timer that ranges from 24 hours to 7 days. A countdown timer can be spotted alongside the message that is to be deleted. One thing to note is that only Admins will be able to modify the timer in group chats.

Telegram now supports Home screen Widgets. The widgets are available on both Android as well as iOS. Similar to WhatsApp, the Chat Widget gives a preview of the chats while the shortcut widget gives quick access to a particular contact.

Telegram now supports new ways of sharing invites. You can share invite links using either a QR Code or by sending links that will automatically expire after a time. This will help Group Admins to control the number of people joining the group.
