Sony is working on a new smartphone called the Sony Xperia Ace 2. It will succeed the Xperia Ace which launched back in 2019. Moreover, this will just like its predecessor be a compact mid-tier offering. Now, in the latest development, its’ specifications surfaced online courtesy of Google Play Console listing. In addition to these, the listing also reveals the front design of the handset. However, Sony has not shared any information on the Xperia Ace II or its release date.

Sony Xperia Ace 2 Specifications Leaked
A known tipster Abhishek Yadav shares a few case renders of the rumored device. These renders hint at the design of the phone. According to the render, it can be a compact phone with mid-tier specifications. From the renders, it can sport a dual-rear camera setup, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a dedicated camera shutter button. The selfie camera is not clearly visible so it is hard to say if the Xperia Ace 2 will have a hole punch, a notch, or a top bezel but the latter two seem more likely.

Furthermore, the volume buttons are on the right side. A cutout is on the bottom which is likely one of the microphones. Besides, the case renders, there is no information on the specifications for the rumored Sony Xperia Ace 2. On the other hand, the Google Play Console listing reveals the details of its specs. According to the listing, the device will have an HD+ 720 x 1496 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 300 PPI. It will power on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. The phone will ship with 4GB of RAM. As of now, the storage option, the device will be coming in isn’t known as of now. However, one can expect the Xperia Ace 2 to be available in 64GB/128GB storage options. On the software side of things, the smartphone will run Android 11 out of the box.
