Sony’s Xperia series of devices got quite a few additions this year and now, the Sony Xperia 10 III Lite has gone official in Japan. The smartphone has been launched as yet another addition to the series alongside this year’s Sony Xperia 10 III, Sony Xperia Ace 2, Sony Xperia 5 III, Sony Xperia 1 III and more.
The Xperia 10 III Lite has launched as a toned down version of the Sony Xperia 10 III, which was launched back in April this year. The smartphone comes with 5G connectivity as well, keeping up nicely with the contemporary trends. Without any further ado, here is a quick look at the specifications and price of the device.

Display and Software
The Sony Xperia 10 III Lite features a compact 6-inch FHD+ OLED display. Additionally, the display comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. Coming to the software, the device runs on Android 11 with the company’s custom skin on top.

Processor
The Xperia 10 III Lite is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 SoC. The octa-core chipset pairs up with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Further, the internal storage on the device is also expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.
Camera
The Xperia 10 III Lite features a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Additionally, there is also a third 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. On the front, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Connectivity
The Xperia 10 III Lite packs a decent 4,500mAh battery. However, the charging speed of the device is currently under wraps. The smartphone retains the side-mounted fingerprint sensor from its predecessor. The device comes with dimensions of 154x68x8.3mm and weighs 169 grams, being on the lighter side of things. The Xperia series handset packs all the essential connectivity options as well. These include dual-band 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1 and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
Sony Xperia 10 III Lite Price and Availability
The Sony Xperia 10 III Lite price in Japan is set at JPY 46,800 for the 6GB/64GB variant. Now, this converts to roughly Rs. 31,600 in the Indian market. Further, the smartphone is available for purchase in the White, Blue, Black, and Pink colour options.

When it comes to the availability of the device, it will go on sale starting August 27 in Japan. For now, the device will only be available in the Japanese market via Rakuten Mobile and other Japan-based retailers. The India launch of the device is currently under wraps. However, we do hope that the company unveils the launch date of the device in other markets as well.
