The Samsung W22 5G, a tailored version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, has been released in China. The new Samsung smartphone, which is the successor to the Samsung W21 5G from last year, comes with an S Pen and is targeted at the Chinese market. Although the Samsung W22 5G’s hardware is very similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 3, it has various software changes such as unique themes and wallpapers, as well as a somewhat different design with a Black-Gold colour scheme to deliver a unique experience. Google Mobile Services and Samsung’s ‘Galaxy’ branding are also missing from the Samsung W22.

Samsung W22 5G Price
The 16GB + 256GB storage option of the Samsung W22 5G costs CNY 16,999 (approximately Rs. 1,98,800). The phone is available in Phantom Black with a textured gold hinge. It is now available for pre-order in China, with shipments beginning on October 22.
In addition to the Samsung W22 5G, the company is selling the standard Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 in China for CNY 14,999 (approximately Rs. 1,75,300) for the single 12GB + 512GB storage option. The original model, on the other hand, lacks the custom options found on the new W-series phone.

Specifications and Features
In terms of specs, the Samsung W22 5G is very similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The smartphone has a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (2,208×1,768 pixels) foldable AMOLED display and a 6.2-inch cover display with an HD+ (832×2,268 pixels) resolution. The foldable display also supports the S Pen. The Samsung W22 5G is equipped with an octa-core SoC, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.
The smartphone has a triple back camera array with 12-megapixel sensors and optical image stabilisation (OIS) technology for images and videos. A 10-megapixel selfie camera is located on top of the cover, while a 4-megapixel selfie camera is located beneath the display.

5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, Ultra Wideband (UWB), and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity options available on the Samsung W22 5G. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor on the side. It has a battery capacity of 4,400mAh. Furthermore, the phone folds to 158.2×67.1x16mm and unfolds to 158.2×128.1×6.4mm. It weighs 288 grammes.
