Samsung will reportedly launch a series of new smartwatches this year. As per various reports, Samsung will launch their Galaxy Watch 4 in Q2 of 2021. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will launch as a successor to the Active 2.
Moreover, the upcoming Samsung smartwatches will reportedly run on Android. Samsung uses their custom Tizen OS in their smartwatches. However, this time Android will start taking over. There is no speculation about why Samsung has decided to change the OS. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has appeared on the FCC website. The FCC listing reveals certain key specifications and features of the upcoming smartwatch.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Specifications (FCC Listing)
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has received the FCC certification ahead of launch. The FCC listing reveals the various LTE bands that the smartwatch will support. Furthermore, the smartwatch is listed with the model number of SM-885U.
Moreover, the upcoming smartwatch will come with Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/ 5GHz and various LTE Bands. Additionally, the listing also reveals the model number of the device’s battery. The battery model number is listed as EB-BR880ABY. Also, a wireless charger with the model number EP-OR825 is mentioned as well. This could hint at the Watch 4 coming with 5W wireless charging support.

Furthermore, a report reveals that the Samsung smartwatch will come in two screen sizes. The Watch 4 will come with a screen size of 42mm and 46mm. On the other hand, the Active smartwatch will reportedly come in 40mm and 42mm screen sizes. A report also reveals that the smartwatches will probably remove the non-invasive blood sugar measuring sensors. For now, this is all that is known about the upcoming smartwatch.
Galaxy Watch 4 Availability
Unfortunately, the launch date of the upcoming smartwatch is currently under wraps. However, Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech revealed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will go on sale in selective markets from August 11.

Although the exact launch dates of the smartwatch has not been revealed, it might be sooner than expected. Previous reports have suggested that the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 will launch in the Q2 of 2021, as mentioned before.
