After releasing its new foldable smartphones last month, Samsung is now working on the next generation of flagship phones. The South Korean giant plans to introduce a new change in the design for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus To Get Flat Frames
A new leak by tipster Ice Universe indicates that Samsung will introduce flatter edges on the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus. The design will be similar to the Meizu 20, which also has a flat middle frame and sides.

Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus have flat backs but with bulging middle frames. This will change as the company is now looking to adopt a new design. This will result in the phones being more ergonomic and easier to hold. A flat metal frame will also improve the sturdiness and grip of the phone.
Other manufacturers are also moving towards the concept of a design with flat edges similar to iPhones.Gone are the curved edges of the past, with even Chinese phone makers like Meizu adopting flat, sleek-looking frames.

Since there is no information about the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, it is likely that the phone will retain its boxy design with sharper edges to distinguish itself from its younger siblings. Rumours indicate that the Ultra model will feature a titanium frame, making the phone stronger and lighter. Samsung usually likes to differentiate between the Ultra model and the rest of the lineup for a premium look.
The Galaxy S24 series will consist of three phones and will be released in early 2024. It will likely be available in two processor variants: Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Other expected specifications include a new camera setup, a larger 5,500mAh battery, and a new M13 OLED panel.
