JerryRigEverything of YouTube channel “JerryRigEverything” put Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra, the company’s newest flagship phone, through a durability test to see how durable it is. The Samsung phone has gone through tough tests, including scratches and a bend test.
After a particular Mohs level, the smartphone started to display scratches, yet it passed the bend test. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra got out in February with high-end features such as a 108-megapixel primary camera and S Pen support.

Everything started with a typical scratch test. According to Zack Nelson’s YouTube channel, JerryRigsEverything began with a regular scratch test according to Zack Nelson YouTube channel JerryRigsEverything. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, does not have a screen protector. As a result, at Mohs hardness level 6, the gadget started to display scratches, with worse scratches 7. This is identical to other flagship phones, such as the Pixel 6 Pro and even the OnePlus 9 Pro.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra has a metal frame damaged with a stainless-steel blade. The smartphone’s buttons and S Pen are also of metal, and the stylus had gone through a durability test. The S Pen was dissembling so that the insides could be examine properly. The new S Pen’s construction was comparable to that of the previous generation model. It has a water-resistant design as well as a rechargeable capacitor. However, the whole frame is metal, and a stainless-steel blade was in use to scratch it.

It’s worth noting that the razor blade didn’t make a scratch on the Phantom Black matte rear cover of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Its camera is composed of tough glass, and the protective rings surrounding it are made of a material that looks like anodized metal. Nelson also used his lighter to scorch areas of the screen and discovered that the ultrasonic fingerprint was still working after the detecting area had been damaged.
