One UI 5 allows you to set several modes for different places and times of day, similar to Apple’s Focus modes on the iPhone 14. For example, you may have a sleep mode, a drive mode, and a business mode. You can combine that with Routines to trigger certain actions based on what you’re doing, and the Lock Screen can be much more customized, including the option to cut video for a moving Lock Screen image.
The alerts in One UI have been improved, and the new Stacked Widgets feature allows you to drag and drop widgets on top of each other to create scrollable stacks that maximize on-screen area. There’s also a new Smart Suggestions feature that suggests apps and actions depending on how you’ve been using your phone.
