Samsung is all set to launch their Galaxy M21 Prime Edition. The smartphone has already made an appearance on the BIS certifications website. Moreover, the smartphone has now made an appearance on the Google Play Console listing. When it comes to the India launch of the upcoming smartphone, things will most likely be slightly different. Also, the smartphone will launch as a slightly tweaked version of the Samsung Galaxy M21.

According to a new report by MySmartPrice, the Galaxy M21 Prime could be launched with a new name in the country. Additionally, the report reveals that the smartphone could launch as the Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition in India. This is because the Google Play Supported Devices listing lists the device with this particular moniker.
Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition will be a modified version of the M21. So, going by this fact, we can take a look at the Galaxy M21 specifications. This gives us an idea about what to expect from the 2021 Edition of the device.
Samsung Galaxy M21 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M21 features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED panel. Additionally, the display comes with a peak brightness of 420 nits. On the processor front, the smartphone is powered by the Exynos 9611 SoC. This octa-core chipset is paired with up to 6GB of LPRDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
For photos and videos, the Samsung Galaxy M21 comes with a triple rear camera setup. The setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. Galaxy M21 2021 Edition: What To Expect?
We definitely do expect to see some major changes to the processor and display when it comes to the 2021 edition of the smartphone. For starters, swapping the old and overused Exynos 9611 SoC for a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC would be nice. Additionally, Samsung should also take it up a notch by providing a 90Hz fast refresh rate display. This will definitely make the smartphone worthy of purchasing as per today’s basic standards.
