  • Samsung will launch a new smartphone under its F-series – Samsung Galaxy F22 in India on July 6. The company has published the dedicated Galaxy F22 page on its website. Moreover, the phone will retail via Flipkart, a dedicated micro-site reveals. It also reveals key specifications of the phone like refresh rate, battery, and camera setup. In addition, the phone looks similar to the newly launched Galaxy A22 in terms of design. Let us look at what this new addition has to offer:

    Samsung Galaxy F22: All the Details

    According to the Flipkart listing, it reveals the presence of a 6,000mAh battery on the Galaxy F22. It appears the upcoming smartphone houses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of a rear-mounted scanner for biometric security. Samsung is also focusing on the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display that has HD+ resolution for “Full On cinematic experience”.

    Notably, the Samsung Galaxy A22 sports the same display size, panel, and resolution. Previously, Samsung Galaxy F22 appeared on Google Play Console listing where listings like 4GB RAM and MediaTek Helio G80 processor. It is rumored to cost under Rs 15,000 in India. Moreover, Samsung’s F-series phones are generally popular for offering large batteries and displays.

    For instance, the entry-level Samsung Galaxy F02s costs Rs 8,999 for the base 32GB storage, and the Galaxy F12 price in India starts at Rs 10,999 for the base 64GB model. Both phones offer a large 6.5-inch screen and up to 6,000mAh battery. The company also offers relatively more premium Samsung Galaxy F41 and Galaxy F62 in the country for Rs 14,499 and Rs 23,999, respectively.

    Furthermore, the rear camera setup includes a 48MP primary sensor, as per the listing. The rest of the details are currently under wraps. Previous leaks suggest that the latest Samsung Galaxy F22 will come with support for optical image stabilization (OIS). The rear camera setup could also include an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. It could come with a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, Samsung may add a 13MP camera for capturing selfies. It is currently unknown whether Samsung will launch both 4G or 5G models of the smartphone.

    If it is launching a 4G model, it can pack a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC under the hood. If the company plans to launch the 5G version as well, then it could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It will reportedly be backed by 6GB RAM. However, most of these details are just assumptions – we have to wait and watch as to what it will offer.
