Samsung is rolling out a new software update to Samsung Galaxy A50s in India. The update brings camera improvements and the January 2021 security patch to the device. The phone is not running on Android 11 but with Android 10. However, the latest update with build number A507FNXXU5CUB3 brings new camera features to the camera.

It brings new features like Single Take and Night Hyperlapse to the Samsung Galaxy A50s. My Filters feature is also new to the phone with the update. These camera features first came with the Samsung Galaxy S20 series.
You can download the latest firmware by tapping the update notification once it arrives. You can check for it manually by clicking on Settings > Software update > Download and Install. The update is 219MB in size.

The device gets camera performance improvements and security improvements with the latest update. Moreover, it brings the Single Take feature to the phone for users to capture multiple still and video formats simultaneously by tapping the shutter button. Whereas, Night Hyperlapse allows you to take hyper-lapse video in low-light conditions.

On the other hand, the My Filter feature allows you to create custom filters that can be saved for use on other images. With this feature, one can create and store up to 99 custom filters. It first came in the Galaxy S20 series. However, it is now porting to the mid-range devices of Samsung like Samsung Galaxy A50s.
Along with the camera improvements, the Samsung Galaxy A50s also gets January 2021 security patch. The phone is still on Android 10 with One UI 2.5 on top. However, as of now, there is no information on when the phone will update to Android 11. The Galaxy A50s launched in August 2019 running Android 9 Pie.

To recall the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A50s sports a triple rear camera setup with a combination of 48-megapixel as a primary sensor, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, there is a 32MP snapper. It has a 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. The phone sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display. In addition, it comes with a 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611.
