Samsung has unofficially revealed the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G. It will be its first budget smartphone to offer six years of Android updates and security patches. Samsung Galaxy A16 launch is making rounds due to the affordable range and top features. The phone is available in Midnight Blue, Turquoise, and Gray colors. The device is listed at Rs 21,900 (converted from€249) for its 4/128GB variant on Samsung France. Right now, there’s no information about when the Galaxy A16 5G will be sold outside Europe and in India. We think the price of the Galaxy A16 5G in India will be less than Rs 20,000.

Galaxy A16 Specifications
The launch leak comes from Samsung’s Dutch website, which listed the A16 5G along with some of its new features. One notable upgrade is the larger 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, compared to the 6.5-inch screen on the previous A15 5G.
The new model also boasts a slimmer design, measuring just 7.9mm in width. It follows the recent trend of removing the 3.5mm headphone jack. This change helps the A16 5G achieve an IP54 rating for basic dust and water resistance, a first for Samsung’s budget phone lineup.
Under the hood, the A16 5G is expected to feature the Exynos 1330 chip, though Samsung has not officially confirmed this. The phone will come with 4GB of RAM and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W charging. It also offers 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1.5TB with a microSD card, providing plenty of space for apps and media.

The camera system on the Galaxy A16 5G remains similar to its predecessor, with a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies.
