Samsung Exynos 2200 will be a major event for smartphone graphics industry. Moreover, considering the rumours and news around the chipset we can expect it to launch soon. However, Samsung has since denied reports tipping a November 19, 2021 launch event. Despite this, apparently the results of an Exynos 2200 GPU official benchmark have surfaced from Tron.
Samsung Exynos 2200 Initial Benchmark Data Shows Performance Upgrade
This data is suggesting the kind of performance gains that this chipset may bring to the table. From what we gathered from the tweet, it will be based on the ARM v9 core architecture, which has been previously tipped as well. According to the tweet, the Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC is seemingly offering up to 17-20 per cent of sustained higher performance, and up to 34 per cent higher peak performance against its predecessor, the Exynos 2100. In addition, it suggests that the next generation SoC from Samsung can be significantly more powerful than its 2021 version.

Furthermore, Samsung Exynos 2200 is tipping to feature one peak core – the ARM Cortex X2, three Cortex-A710, and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores. The processor is tipping to be based on the latest generation ARM v9 architecture. Moreover, its GPU duties are said to be powered by an AMD RDNA 2 GPU. It is also offering solutions such as variable rate shading (VRS) and ray tracing on phones.

Although the company didn’t reveal the specifications of the Samsung Exynos 2200. However, various rumours that this next generation chip will be based on a 4nm manufacturing process by Samsung Foundry. Moreover, this Exynos chipset may feature one ARM Cortex-X2 performance core, three Cortex-A710 cores and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores. The chip is tipped to support 144Hz displays, the latest generations of wireless connectivity through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and of course, 5G connectivity.
