Back in March, 2021, talks of Reliance working on their very first low-cost 4G laptop surfaced online. Now, the laptop carrying the moniker Reliance JioBook has made an appearance on Geekbench. Thanks to MySmartPrice for spotting this. The listing gives us an insight into what to quite possibly expect in terms of performance.
Going by the fact that this will be a “low-cost” 4G laptop, we can’t expect flagship grade performance. From the looks of it, the Reliance JioBook will mostly be launched to cater to the needs of those looking to get a budget-friendly laptop.

Work from home is a BIG thing now and maybe, just maybe, this laptop is to fulfill that requirement as well. Without any further ado, here is a quick rundown of what the Reliance JioBook Geekbench listing reveals.
Reliance JioBook Geekbench Listing
The Geekbench listing of the very first laptop by Reliance definitely tells us quite a few things. For starters, the Reliance JioBook manages to score 1,178 points in the single-core test. Further, it scores 4,246 points in the multi-core test. On the processor front, the laptop will be powered by the MediaTek MT8788 processor. This particular chipset will pair up with 2GB of RAM.

On the software front, the Reliance JioBook will run on Android 11 OS right out of the box. Going by early rumours, Android 11 will be coupled with the brand’s proprietary JioOS custom skin on top. From the looks of it, users will indeed have a hassle free experience when it comes to loading Android apps.
Usually for laptops running on Windows, users have to emulate the Android experience by using third-party apps like BlueStacks. However, here, none of those issues will arise.
Reliance JioBook Specifications
According to previous leaks and reports, the JioBook will come with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. However, this is the resolution for one of the multiple variants that will be launched. We will also get to see an HDMI port on the laptop.

Additional connectivity options will include dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G LTE and Bluetooth. Other benefits that Reliance JioBook users will get include support for Jio apps. So, we will see support for apps like JioStore, JioPages and JioMeet. However, we can also see support for Microsoft applications like Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Office, Teams and more.
