Reliance is all set to launch their 5G services in India today at 2PM IST during the Reliance AGM 2021 event. The 5G services will be launching alongside a bunch of other things. Reliance is also expected to introduce their Jio 5G phone which has been in the rumor spectrum for quite some time now.
Moreover, this is the 44th AGM or Annual General Meeting of the company. The event will be a virtual event solely and will be livestreamed via the company’s YouTube channel. Furthermore, the event will be led by Reliance Industries Chairman Mukest Ambani.
The Jio 5G phone is expected to be launched in partnership with Google. Additionally, Jio is also expected to unveil their affordable JioBook laptop as well. There is a possibility that Reliance could reveal a ton of other surprises.

Reliance Jio 5G: What To Expect?
Reliance Jio is responsible for deepening the internet penetration in India with their 4G services back in 2016. Now, the advent of 5G calls for a brand new release and that is exactly what the Reliance Jio AGM 2021 is all about. We will witness the introduction of Reliance Jio’s 5G services in the country.
Additionally, the plans are expected to be low-cost paired with a ton of other benefits on recharge. The plans are believed to come with unlimited calling, high-speed data alongside subscription to the Jio apps. Going by previous reports, the company has already achieved staggering speeds of 1Gbps during trials. Moreover, Reliance will reportedly use 100 percent homegrown technologies for their 5G services.

We can expect to see Jio announce the cheapest 5G phone in the country. For now, the Realme 8 is the cheapest 5G smartphone in the market. However, that might change as the Jio 5G phone is expected to start from as low as Rs. 2,500. This will allow 2G feature phone users to shift to the super fast 5G connectivity.
