Realme introduced the Realme GT3 5G smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023). The new Realme GT3 supports 240W fast charging and the company says that the phone gets fully charged in 9 minutes and 30 seconds. But on the second day of MWC, Redmi 300W fast charging tech has been introduced.
Redmi 300W fast charging tech, which fully charges the customized version of Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus in just 5 minutes. Redmi 300W Fast Charging Tech: Full Charge In 5 Minutes
The brand has posted an official demo video and used a modified Redmi Note 12 Discovery (Explorer Edition) with a 4,100mAh battery (the original has a dual 4,300mAh cell) in a controlled environment. The device took 2 minutes and 11 seconds to reach 50 per cent and under 5 minutes to charge fully. So far no device has been charged so fast in the entire smartphone market.
Interestingly, the video from Redmi showing this charging tech work has a charging reader on the left of the screen, and we noticed that the phone seems to max out at 290W, which is not bad either.

When will it be on the market?
Redmi has introduced a 300W ultra-fast charging solution, but it is not clear when it will be seen in smartphones. The Chinese brand Xiaomi also did not say whether this technology will be inbuilt into the mobile phone or whether another adapter charger will have to be used to use this technology.
Hopefully, Redmi will reveal more about the 300W charging soon. Since the Redmi brand has introduced this technology, it is more likely to be used in the Redmi Note series. So it is expected that mid-range smartphone customers will soon experience the world’s fastest fast charging.
