The hype around Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi K40 Series is just getting better and better. With the K30 series moving to a mid-range processor, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is all set to restore the glory to the K series.
The well known Xiaomi tipster Digital Chat Station has spilled some beans. Earlier leaks have also suggested that the K40 lineup will comprise of three devices. These devices will be the Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40S, and the Redmi K40.
According to the tipster, the Pro variant will feature a 108MP camera, and be powered by the Snapdragon 888 Chipset.
Fans of the Redmi K series will be happy to know that the company has decided to return to Qualcomm.

Since the Mi 11 also features a 108 MP camera sensor, the company might go with an older sensor. We expect a quad-camera setup, like several other devices offer in the price segment.
Some reports suggest that at least one device in the K series will offer a 120 Hz refresh rate display. While the company is yet to announce any release date, we expect them to be launched in the coming weeks.
Coming to the non-Pro variants, it is expected that the Redmi K40 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. On the other hand, the Redmi K40S will feature the Snapdragon 775. Having said that, we wonder where the MediaTek variant will fit in the series. Maybe the company will feature the Mediatek Dimensity 1200 later alongside the rumored Redmi K40 Ultra.
