Redmi is reportedly working on a new budget phone known as the Xiaomi Redmi A2. The handset may soon launch in the global markets. However, ahead of its official launch a notable tipster Sudhanshu has revealed the full specifications, price and design of the handset. It features a pretty basic and straightforward design with a waterdrop notch on the front. The handset will debut as the successor to the Xiaomi Redmi A1.

Xiaomi Redmi A2: Design
In terms of design, the handset features a waterdrop notch on the front and a sizeable chin below the screen. Moreover, it comes with a volume rocker and a power button on the right edge. The rear of the smartphone features a square module that houses dual camera sensors and an LED flash. We also get to see the Redmi branding on the rear panel.
The handset may most likely arrive in Black, Blue and Green colour options. However, as it is a budget-friendly handset it may not come with a fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the leak suggests that the smartphone will be available in the global markets at EUR 109 (around Rs 9,600) for the single 2GB + 32GB model.

Specifications (Expected)
Sources suggest that the handset may most likely sport a 6.52-inch HD Plus display with 1600×720 pixels resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. It will offer a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC along with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. Furthermore, the leaks suggest that the handset will pack a 5,000mAh battery and 10W charging support.
The smartphone will likely run on Android 12 (Go Edition). Lastly, it offers connectivity options such as 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro USB port.
