On September 6, Xiaomi is likely to introduce a number of Redmi smartphones. One of them is the Redmi A1, which is regarded as a low-cost option. According to the sources, the phone will include an 8-megapixel primary camera on the back and a MediaTek Helio G22 CPU, which is consistent with earlier reports.
The Redmi A1 will have a rounded back and flat corners. Along with Redmi branding, the rear panel will also hold a square camera module. The phone’s front will have a waterdrop notch screen, bezels around it, and a bottom chin. According to the renderings that appear official, the power button and volume rocker are located on the right edge.

The phone’s dimensions are 164.9mm x 76.75mm x 9.09mm, and its weight is 191 grams. The company has also officially stated that the phone will come in three colour options: black, green, and blue.
Specifications of Redmi A1
Regarding the technical details, it is likely that the Redmi A1 will feature a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 1,600x720p resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, the MediaTek Helio A22 CPU will power the phone, along with 2GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of expandable eMMC 5.1 storage that can hold up to 1TB.

There are also rumours about a 3GB RAM version. Moving on, the device will run Android 12 out of the box and be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging capabilities. The device is probably running Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 Android skin.
According to reports, the phone has two rear cameras with an 8-megapixel (f/2.0) primary sensor and an f/2.2 auxiliary sensor. It could have a 5-megapixel (f/2.2) front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The Redmi A1’s camera will have capabilities like time-lapse, portrait mode, short videos, and more. However, it appears that the Redmi A1 will not include a fingerprint reader.
