The Redmi 10 Prime has been making rounds of the internet a lot recently. Xiaomi has been teasing the device in several ways, even taking to a cryptic tweet recently. Now, the company has teased the launch date for the device via their Twitter handle. The tweet reads as, “We can’t tell you what that means (yet) but here’s a clue! #AllRoundSuperstar is on its way & it will be the answer to everything.”
The tweet also gives us a link to the 10 Prime’s official dedicated page. Now, this page has a timer which reveals that the said smartphone will launch in 10 days. Going by this piece of information, we can assume that the Redmi 10 Prime launch date in India is set for September 3 at 12 noon.
Now, this “All Round Superstar” that Xiaomi is making a mention of everywhere definitely seems to be the Redmi 10 Prime. Noted YouTuber and tipster Mukul Sharma also revealed that the device is indeed the 10 Prime. The Redmi 10 has recently gone official globally. According to multiple reports, the Redmi 10 Prime will launch as a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Redmi 10 global variant.

Redmi 10 Prime: What To Expect?
Going by the fact that the Redmi 10 Prime will launch as a rebranded version of the global Redmi 10 in India, we can derive a couple of things. For starts, the upcoming smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display. In addition, the display will come with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. We will also be seeing a 90Hz refresh rate on an AdaptiveSync display.
On the processor front, the Redmi 10 Prime is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. The octa-core chipset will pair up with the ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The processor and GPU are coupled with 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. Further, the internal storage will also be expandable via a microSD card slot.

For photos and videos, the smartphone will most likely feature a quad rear camera setup. The setup will include a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. We will also see two 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro shots, respectively. At the front, the device will feature an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The Redmi 10 Prime will most likely pack a big 5000mAh battery along with 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging support. We can also expect to see a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the handset.
Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Price in India (Expected)
Now, although the Redmi 10 Prime price in India is currently under wraps, we can draw a couple of assumptions based on the Redmi 10 pricing. The Redmi 10 price was set at $179 for the 4GB/64GB variant which is approximately Rs. 13,300. Meanwhile, the price for the 4GB/128GB variant is set at $199 which converts to roughly Rs. 14,800. Lastly, the 6GB/128GB variant of the device comes with a price tag of $219 which converts to around Rs. 16,600.
