Redmi India teased the introduction of a new Redmi smartphone near the end of a launch event. At the conclusion of the launch presentation, a slide with the caption “Redmi 10 is coming” comes on the screen. Since then, rumours and leaks of the upcoming smartphone surfaced online. Now, reports of the Redmi 10 Indian variant being a rebrand of another smartphone have also surfaced.
There is currently no information regarding the Redmi 10 Indian variant featuring any certification website. However, a new Redmi 10 series smartphone, the Redmi 10C, surfaced in FCC and IMEI databases. Now, this latest piece of information comes from tipster Paras Gulgani. Here’s what it reveals:

Redmi 10 Indian Variant – A Rebranded Redmi 10C
According to tipster Paras Guglani, Redmi 10C will launch in Nigeria soon as its retail box has also surfaced on an e-commerce platform. Guglani also mentions that the global version of Redmi 10C will launch in India as Redmi 10. The latter will launch in India on March 17, 2022.

Now, comparing the Nigerian retail box for Redmi 10C and Redmi 10 Indian variant images in the microsite, we see some similarities. The smartphones get a dual rear camera setup in square housing. Both get a flat display with a waterdrop-style notch, thin bezels on three sides, and a thick chin. The two Redmi smartphones are also shown with their power button and volume rockers on the right spine.

In terms of specifications, it may flaunt a 6.71-inch Dot Drop display. The upcoming smartphone may power on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. But mentioned on the microsite as a 6nm Snapdragon SoC — paired with UFS storage. Redmi 10 Indian variant will reportedly get a 50-megapixel primary rear camera as well as a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is also said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support.
