Realme seems to be gearing up to launch their affordable 5G smartphone in the country. This upcoming 5G smartphone by the brand will be priced at roughly Rs. 7000 or the under $100 mark. However, the company has not revealed in which countries the company plans to launch the device.
From the looks of it, the launch of this affordable 5G smartphone will definitely land in India. This can be said for a variety of different reasons. Firstly, Jio has launched their JioPhone Next which will be available soon in the country. Moreover, a 5G phone by Jio is also reportedly in the works. At this point, launching a 5G smartphone at such an attractive price point is always the way to go.

Previously, Realme had stated in its 5G Global Summit that it plans on launching a Realme 5G smartphone under $100. Now, this will be coming true soon as Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has revealed that this affordable 5G smartphone will be launching in the Indian market very soon.
Furthermore, in an interview with India Today Tech, Sheth revealed a few things. For starters, he stated that the 5G smartphone price in India will be set at near about Rs. 7000. Also, he went on to say that it will be the cheapest 5G smartphone in the country upon launch. Although he hasn’t revealed any specific launch date, he did say that the company is “aiming to make this happen at [the] fastest.” He also states that Realme has shifted near about 90 percent of its R&D resources to focus on the development of 5G smartphones.

What More?
Furthermore, Madhav Sheth went on to reveal the primary aim of the company. Realme aims to sell approximately a staggering 60 lakh smartphones during Diwali in the country. Moreover, Diwali is on the 4th of November this year. He says that, “preparation for the Diwali season has started and [we] have the confidence to best meet the demand of the Diwali season in terms of stock.”

Additionally, Sheth states that the company will launch new products with their latest 1+5+T strategy. This strategy basically revolves around selling five smartphones for one product from the category that includes smartwatches, laptops, TVs, wireless headphones, and smart speakers. On the other hand, selling one product from the TechLife category such as sockets, light bulbs and the like.
