Until recently, OnePlus used to be the only option for an alert slider, but that could change next month. And it looks like Realme is planning to bring a mid-range smartphone with this interesting design feature. The slider remains a part of the OnePlus smartphones since the launch of the OnePlus 2. It allows users to switch between vibrate, silent, and ringing sound profiles. This means you don’t need to turn on your screen and visit the quick settings to tweak your sound profile.
According to MySmartPrice, tipster Yogesh Brar says that the Oppo spin-off brand is testing its devices with an alert slider. In case you are not aware, the alert slider switches between ringer and vibrate mode, just like the iPhone. Realme will be the second BBK-owned company after OnePlus to feature an alert slider in its devices.
