Realme GT Neo 2 India Launch Set for October 13: Here’s what to Expect

Realme has finally officially confirmed the India launch of their long anticipated GT series device. The Realme GT Neo 2 is now all set to launch in India on October 13, 2021. The device went official in China last month and is finally making its way to the Indian market.

The Realme GT Neo 2 has been making rounds of the internet for quite some time now. It is good to finally hear an official confirmation of the device actually making its way to India. Its predecessor, the Realme GT Neo, did not make it to the Indian market. The predecessor was only launched in China.

Going by the China launch of the device last month, we know what to expect from the device in terms of its specs and pricing. Here is a quick rundown of the GT Neo 2 key details.

Realme GT Neo 2 Specifications

Starting off with the specs, the smartphone comes with a 6.62-inch Samsung E4 Display. In addition, this is an AMOLED display that comes with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. Further, the display features a peak brightness of 1,300 nits alongside HDR10+ support. Additional features include DC dimming and a staggering 600Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood, the GT Neo 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Moreover, this flagship chipset is also what brings 5G connectivity to the device. The octa-core chipset pairs up with up to 12GB of RAM. We can also see the dynamic RAM expansion feature on this device. This feature offers additional 7GB of Virtual RAM which uses up the internal storage as RAM.

Moving to optics, the smartphone comes with a 64-megapixel triple rear camera setup. The setup also includes an 8-megapixel 120-degree FOV sensor alongside a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the device sports a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

Realme GT Neo 2 specs also include a big 5000mAh battery. The battery capacity is coupled with 65W SuperDart charge fast charging support. When it comes to software, the smartphone runs on Android 11 OS with the Realme UI 2.0 custom skin on top. The flagship smartphone also packs all the essential connectivity options like 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, a USB Type-C port for charging and more.

Realme GT Neo 2 Price in India (Expected)

Nothing has been officially revealed about the price of the upcoming smartphone in India. However, we can make a couple of assumptions going by its China pricing. The Realme GT Neo 2 price in China starts at RMB 2,499 for the 8GB/128GB variant. This converts to roughly Rs. 28,500 in the Indian currency.

Further, the 8GB/256GB variant costs RMB 2,699 which is around Rs. 30,700. Lastly, the 12GB/256GB model comes with a price tag of RMB 2,999 which converts to approximately Rs. 34,200. Going by this, we can expect to see the smartphone start in between the Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 30,000 segment in India as well.
