The worldwide debut of the Realme GT 2 series has been announced. They will unveil Realme’s flagship series on the first day of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022, which will take place in Barcelona next week. Realme’s flagship smartphone line consists of the Realme GT 2 5G & Realme GT 2 Pro, both of which are white. Both smartphones got their launch in China at the beginning of January.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC powers the vanilla Realme GT 2. Whereas, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powers the Realme GT 2 Pro. It remains to see if the worldwide versions of the devices would vary from their Chinese counterparts in any way.

Realme announced the debut of the Realme GT 2 series on February 28 at 9 am GMT via a press release and a tweet. The Realme GT 2 series will be available in over 100 countries (2:30 pm IST). The Realme 1 flagship smartphone series will unveil on the first day of Mobile World Congress 2022.
The event will broadcast live on Realme UK’s Twitter and YouTube accounts. Although there has been no official announcement of a dedicated India launch. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth suggested earlier this month that the Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro will be available in the country shortly.

Specifications of Realme GT 2
Following its launch earlier this year in the Chinese market, it is unclear if the worldwide version of the Realme GT 2 series would include identical specs to the Chinese version of the phone. However, a 6.62-inch full-HD+ E4 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz is there on the Realme GT 2. Inside, it runs by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It can pair with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The Realme GT 2 has a triple back camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor for imaging low-light conditions. In addition, a 16-megapixel selfie camera is located on the phone’s front panel.

The Realme flagship smartphone has Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, and NFC capabilities when it comes to connection. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 65W rapid charging.

It has a 6.7-inch 2K (1,440×3,216 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The Realme GT 2 Pro has a fingerprint sensor on the back. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, along with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, provides the necessary power.
