  • Realme 9 series will soon launch in India. Previously in September, the CMO of Realme India and Europe, Francis Wong, validated the arrival of Realme 9. But now Realme officially confirms the addition of a sensor that will be the first to be featured on the smartphone. The camera will feature Samsung’s latest ISOCELL HM6 image sensor. According to the company, the series will include a 108-megapixel ‘ProLight’ Camera in its upcoming series.

    As we know already that the Realme 9 series currently includes Realme 9, Realme 9 SE, and Realme 9i. It will also come alongside the Pro models – Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+. Let’s look at what the new camera sensor of the upcoming series phone offers.

    Realme 9 Series Among the First to Feature 108-Megapixel ProLight Sensor

    This 108-megapixel ProLight camera sensor will be powering by a Samsung ISOCELL HM6 image sensor. It features NonaPixel Plus technology that utilises the 9Sum Pixel Binning solution for a 123 per cent overall light intake improvement. As compared to the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 image sensor. According to the company, this feature improves the low-light image capturing capabilities of the camera with significantly brighter photos and enhanced colour reproduction. Furthermore, the ‘ProLight’ Camera will utilise the HM6 sensor’s ultra-zoom technology to capture zoomed-in shots. It uses a merging algorithm to clearly capture minute details.

    Furthermore, the company claims that low-light pictures of the upcoming Realme 9 series phone will be significantly brighter with better colour reproduction.

    Apart from this, the series has already leaked a lot online. We have quite a lot of information on the series via these leaks. Under the hood, MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset might power Realme 9 5G. It will also come with a 90Hz refresh rate display. Meteor Black, Stargazer White, Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black are its rumoured colour choices. Realme 9 5G is to be available in two RAM/storage configurations: 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB.

    In terms of optics, it may also come with an 8-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. In addition, the Realme 9 5G is likely to include a 16-megapixel front-facing camera sensor. One option is for a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an 18W charger for the 5,000mAh battery. It is tipped to be a mid-range offering priced below Rs. 15,000. The smartphone has been making the rounds of various certification websites. Moreover, it is expected to be announced soon. We will know more as it gets closer to its launch.
