Realme 9 Pro Plus Spotted on IMEI Database

Word about Realme working towards their Realme 9 series devices started back in June, 2021. The series will include the Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro Plus. Moreover, later on, Realme confirmed that this was indeed true and we would be seeing the devices pretty soon. Last month, the brand revealed that the series would be launching next year in India.

Now, noted tipster Mukul Sharma took to Twitter to reveal that the Realme 9 Pro Plus has been spotted on the IMEI database. The smartphone has been listed with the model number RMX3393. This definitely reveals that the smartphone’s may actually be launching in Q1 of 2022, as speculated.

Last month, Realme announced that their Realme 9 series of smartphones will launch in 2022. As per multiple reports, the brand will be launching this series in most probably first quarter of 2022. The upcoming Realme 9 series of devices are expected to come with significant upgrades over the Realme 8 series smartphones. Moreover, we can expect to see the devices come with the 5G moniker like the Realme 8 series devices.

Realme 9 Series Specifications (Rumoured)

We know a couple of things about the 9 series devices, thanks to various leaks and reports. As per these leaks, the Realme 9 Pro and Pro Plus specs will include an AMOLED display. In addition, the leaks also suggest a high refresh rate panel. Under the hood, the smartphones will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC.

To recall, on the optics front, the Realme 8 Pro featured a 108-megapixell primary rear camera sensor. This was a breakthrough and we can expect the 9 Pro to feature something similar or better as well. We can also expect to see the vanilla Realme 9 smartphone pack a better processor than the MediaTek Helio G90 and G95. These have pretty much become overused by the brand at this point and we can defintiely expect to see something new and better.

Nothing has been revealed about the Realme 9 series price in India. However, we can expect the vanilla model to be priced under the Rs. 15,000 segment in the country. Further, the 9 Pro can be expected to be priced under the Rs. 20,000 price segment. We can expect the Realme 9 Pro Plus to be priced higher than these two devices as it is the most premium and stacked device of the series.
