Realme seems to be buckling up to soon launch their Realme 9 series of smartphones in India. The standard Realme 9 5G is the latest model in the rumour spotlight. We got to see the Realme 9 Pro 5G and Realme 9 Pro+ 5G make an appearance a couple days ago. It has appeared on multiple certification websites at once. This only hints at the smartphone’s official launch being right around the corner.
Noted tipster Techno Ankit takes to Twitter to reveal this and the smartphone’s key specs ahead of launch. Thanks to him, we also get a look at the handset’s design. So, let us dive right into the details of the upcoming Realme 9 series handset.

Realme 9 5G Specifications
Ankit has indeed revealed quite a bit in terms of the upcoming handset’s specifications. Starting off with the display, the tipster reveals that the upcoming device will offer a 6.5-inch display. Although nothing has been unveiled about the kind of display we will be getting, we can expect to see a FHD+ LCD display.

Under the hood, the Realme 9 5G will reportedly be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SoC. The octa-core 5G chipset will pair up with LPDDR4X RAM as well. Talking about software, the smartphone will run on Android 11 with the Realme UI 2.0 custom skin.
Moving to optics, the smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup. The setup will include a 48-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by two 2-megapixel sensors. At the front, the device will sport a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
The Realme 9 5G will pack a big 5000mAh battery. Now, this rated battery capacity will be coupled with 18W fast charging support. We will also get to see a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, according to Ankit. Further, he also reveals that the device will offer a 3.5mm headphone jack as well alongside NFC support. The upcoming 5G device by Realme will measure 8.5mm in thickness and weigh 188 grams.
