Realme 8 series is launching in India on March 24. The new smartphone series will feature Realme8 and Realme8 Pro. Ahead of the launch, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth revealed new features coming to the series. Moreover, he is teasing on the phone specs for quite some time now. The features include a Super AMOLED display, 50W fast charging capability. In addition, the Realme 8 series also has a smartphone-first Starry mode time-lapse video in the Pro variant.

Moreover, according to the tweet, the Realme 8 series will be the first to launch with Realme UI 2.0 out-of-the-box. This UI version is based on the latest Android 11. In addition, it also confirms to have a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display and in-display fingerprint support. The smartphones will also come with 50W fast charging support that is claimed to fully charge in less than an hour.
Furthermore, in the Realme 8 series, the Pro variant will feature a 108-MP camera with an in-sensor zoom technology. The smartphone claims to offer the best camera from the company. It has surfaced in an icy blue colour with the rear cameras stacked in the top-left corner. Moreover, Realme 8 Pro will come in black colour as well.

According to leaks, the Realme 8 Pro will power on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor. Whereas, the Realme 8 will come with the Snapdragon 720G processor. Both smartphones in the Realme 8 series are expected to feature displays with high refresh rates and pack up to 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage.

Lastly, in the Realme 8 series, the Pro variant claims to feature the second generation of Starry Mode. It is similar to Google’s Astrophotography feature. It allows users to capture images of the night sky in greater detail. Furthermore, Sheth said that the Pro will introduce “World’s First Starry Mode Time-lapse video on a smartphone”. This will use photos captured in Starry Mode to deliver enhanced low-light, time-lapse shots. The company has said that the feature takes 480 seconds to shoot 30 photos and generate a 1-second time-lapse video.
