PlayStation Wants To Bring Uncharted, God Of War, And More To mobile

It looks like PlayStation is eager to adopt some of its more popular IP for mobile. In addition, the company is already working on going more mobilization. There is also a new job listing for a Head of Mobile at Sony Interactive Entertainment PlayStation. The company is looking for applicants with leadership and talent to “lead the development and strategy of mobile gaming”.

“You will lead all aspects of the expansion of our game development from consoles and PCs to mobile & Live Services with a focus on successfully adapting PlayStation’s most popular franchises for mobile”.

According to the company, the hire will be working across departments to better leverage the company’s IP and brands. PlayStation will also move forward find new success in the mobile market. It stands to reason this will focus on the likes of Gran Turismo, God of War, The Last of Us, Uncharted, and so on. Moreover, this is in line with Sony’s recent overall strategy of focusing on proven and successful games rather than experimenting with more niche projects.

“You will be responsible for building and scaling a team of mobile leaders. One will serve as the Head of this new business unit within PlayStation Studios”.

For example, Sony is remaking The Last of Us for PS5. Whereas Sony Bend at Days Gone Studio was pitching a sequel to the game, Sony is not too keen on the idea.
