According to a report by, a respected Chinese supply chain analyst, Chinese hardware manufacturer Goertek will soon begin mass production of Sony’s PlayStation VR 2 headset. It could result in an imminent announcement of PlayStation’s new virtual reality headset. PlayStation VR 2: Leaks
If the above-mentioned rumours are true, an official product reveal and release date may soon follow. It’s been almost a year since Sony announced a “next-generation” VR headset for the PlayStation 5. Since then the company has refrained from sharing too much beyond the existence of the hardware itself. It said we did receive a good look at the new “Orb” VR controllers that will be used in tandemo with the PSVR 2.
Beyond that, we know little to nothing about the next-gen console headset. That said, a handful of patents filed by Sony hint at several potential features, such as 4K visuals, eye-tracking, and built-in haptics. According to a report released by Bloomberg this past June, the PlayStation VR 2 will launch during the 2022 holiday season.

Despiting being around for more than a few years now, VR gaming still has a long way to go to reach its full potential. Since the announcement of this new tool as a gaming platform. Moreover, many companies such as Meta (Facebook), HTC, Valve, and PlayStation have produced their very own version of VR headsets.
Sony put a good amount of effort into supporting PlayStation VR during the last generation of consoles by developing some quality games for the device in its first-party studios. We are hoping for the announcement of the second generation of PlayStation VR, which could happen sooner rather than later.
