Google is working on the next-gen series – Pixel 6 for the past months. Rumors and leaks of the series have started surfacing quite often in the last months now. Although like its predecessors we can assume that the series will bring two variants in its lineup – vanilla and a Pro. However, its official monikers are still not out officially by the company. But a recent developer note from Google did have something for its users. The company itself accidentally revealed that the Pro variant could launch as Pixel 6XL.

Google Pixel 6 XL moniker is confirmed?
We know that series is gearing up for its launch this year. Some reports have indicated that the high-end variant will launch as a Pro. However, chances are it might not be the case. To recall, Google kicked off it’s Game Developer Summit 2021. This is where it unveils new tools for Android game developers. During the summit, it also released some developer documentation for the new Game Mode APIs. It describes as Game Mode interventions. The documentation reveals the moniker of two unreleased devices Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 XL.

Although, it does not necessarily confirm the moniker. There is a chance it could be a typo. However, it also gives rise to rumors regarding the upcoming high-end Pixel phone. Apart from this nothing official is coming by the makers yet. Meanwhile, earlier reports give us plenty of ideas on what we can expect from the Pixel 6 series.
Pixel 6 Series Leaks: What we know
According to rumors, the Google Pixel 6 will have a 6.4-inch flat display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is also believed to feature wireless charging. Apart from that, the phone is expected to have bottom-firing stereo speakers as well as a USB Type-C port.
According to rumors, Google is developing its own processor, which might appear in the Pixel 6 series. In both phones, Google is said to be using its very own ‘GS101′ silicon. The high-end Mali-G78 GPU is believed to be used, which is the same GPU present in the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S21.

The Google Pixel 6 could have a dual-camera configuration with an unknown third sensor on the back. The Pixel 6 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to come with a triple back camera layout, comprising a wide-angle lens and a periscope-style telephoto lens. In terms of features, the selfie shooter on both phones is reported to offer 4K video recording.
