Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro May Not Launch in India: Here’s What We Know

Google officially announced the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which will launch later this year. In addition, the company also confirmed it will come with the in-house Tensor chipset. Moreover, it will also have multiple camera modules on the back. Although we do not have the complete picture of the smartphone in specs we do have some information. In its teaser, the tech giant revealed that it is going to launch the Pixel 6 series soon. However, it excludes India from the list of countries in which the flagship phone will be launched.

Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6Pro will be first available in 8 countries. It will initially launch in these countries: Australia, Canada, France, Japan, France, Taiwan, the US and the UK. However, the company hasn’t revealed the exact date of availability. Although it does say it will come sometime in Q4 2021 around September.

On the other hand, chances are the number of countries might increase in terms of availability for the Pixel 6 series. Meanwhile, customers from the eight countries can register easily to know more about the series. Google has said that both the vanilla and Pro are “Coming Fall 2021″ or “Coming this autumn”.

Whereas, Google will use processors developed in-house, marking a move from Qualcomm’s technology. It has powered the search giant’s Android devices for more than 15 years. Google claims in a blog post that the Tensor processor will power the Pixel 6 as well as the Pixel6 Pro phones. More details will reveal closer to the launch.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro will most like come with a large 6.71-inch full-HD+ display. Moreover, the display is going to be that of a plastic OLED panel. On the software front, the upcoming Google Pixel smartphone will run on the latest Android 12.

The Google Pixel 6 will run on Android 12 and will have a smaller 6.4-inch AMOLED display. The dual back camera configuration is likely to have a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The Google Pixel 6 could have an 8-megapixel selfie camera on its front. The phone is likely to have 8GB RAM and a 4,614mAh battery. There are two internal storage options: 128GB and 256GB.
