  • In China, Oppo Reno 6 series is already available. However, it is yet to come in India. Although new leaks suggest the brand is gearing up to add another variant in the lineup – Oppo Reno 6Z. Apparently, it will make its official debut on July 21st in Thailand. Ahead of the launch, a micro-site for Reno6Z is live on the official Oppo Thailand website. It also reveals some of the key specifications of the device.

    Oppo Reno 6Z: Specifications – Expected

    According to the microsite, it will power on the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U mobile processor. Oppo has also confirmed support for 30W VOOC charging on the upcoming Reno series device.

    The OPPO Reno 6Z is said to include a triple rear camera system with a 64MP primary sensor which is mentioned on the website. However, leaks also mention an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. It will sport a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. On the other hand, one poster confirms that the handset will come in two colors including a  Black variant. As per the tipster, the Oppo Reno 6Z will feature a standard 60Hz refresh rate screen.

    The smartphone will run on ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 5G, and a Type-C port will all be available on the smartphone. The OPPO Reno 6Z pricing details are currently unknown. However, based on the specifications that have been leaked, it should cost around Rs. 25,000.

    Meanwhile, previous leaks suggest that the Oppo Reno 6Z has twice the storage of its predecessor a higher-resolution main rear camera, and a higher-resolution selfie camera. Those are the only major changes and the rest is the same. You can decide whether these changes alone justify a new model. Oppo certainly appears to believe so.
