  • After numerous leaks and rumors, Oppo confirms it is launching Oppo Reno 6 series on May 27th in China. Moreover, the company has confirmed it via its official social media channels. The upcoming Reno 6 series can consist of three devices – vanilla Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+. Moreover, all these three variants have surfaced on various certification sites recently.     According to the teaser poster above, the company confirms it is launching the series on May 27th. In addition, the company also released a short video on its official Weibo handle revealing the launch date and time of the lineup.

    Now, according to leaks earlier, all the three in the Oppo Reno 6 series are expecting to feature a 90Hz screen refresh rate and have 65W fast charging support. Additionally, they may run on Android 11-based ColorOS. The vanilla Reno 6 model (OPPO PEQM00) can feature a 6.43-inch display. Under the hood, the phone might be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. The phone will apparently pack a dual 2100mAh battery. In terms of camera, it can feature a 64MP primary main camera. For the selfies and video-calling, the phone might sport a 32MP camera.

    Whereas, the Pro models in the Oppo Reno 6 series have surfaced on listings. Past leaks suggest the Oppo Reno 6 Pro can power on the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Meanwhile, Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ can power on the Snapdragon 870 SoC. On TENAA, the Oppo Reno 6 Pro is apparently listing with the model number PEPM00. It is tipping to feature a 6.55-inch display and measures 160×73.1×7.6mm. The phone is listing on TENAA to pack a 2,200mAh dual-cell battery. Whereas, Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ is said to be listing on TENAA with the model number PENM00. This model features a similar 6.55-inch display and packs a 2,200mAh dual-cell battery. Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ can measure at 160.8×72.5×7.99mm. Moreover, a dual-cell battery of 2,200mAh means the phones may pack a 4,500mAh battery in total capacity. Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ is expecting to weigh 188 grams.
