OPPO recently revealed officially that it will be launching the ColorOS 12 in around mid-September without any confirmation on the launch date. Now, OPPO has finally confirmed the launch date of the ColorOS 12 via its official Weibo handle. The Android 12 base, ColorOS 12 will launch in China on September 16th at 6 PM local time.

OPPO ColorOS 12 Features
The OPPO ColorOS 12 will give a refreshing new visual element based on Android 12. It is also rumored that ColorOS 12 will combine notable features from the likes of HydrogenOS, Meizu’s Flyme, and Smartisan OS. It is still a mystery as to when the company plans to roll out the stable ColorOS 12 for its devices. The OS will have a new feature, the Cross-Screen Interconnection which is similar to the Huawei Multi-Screen Collaboration.
The ColorOS might not be available instantly given that Google is yet to release a stable Android 12 update. OPPO might release the ColorOS 12 beta update for its Find X3 series on September 16th. It is important to note that the company already pushed out the beta update for the Find X3 recently.

The company on September 16th might release a list of phones which are eligible to receive the ColorOS 12 beta update. OPPO is also planning to release details regarding the global ColorOS 12 release at the event. The ColorOS 12 is not limited to smartphones but will also feature in tablets and smartwatches. Though OPPO does not have a tablet lineup, it is an indication that the company might enter the tablet market. The ColorOS 12 will also run on OnePlus smartphones in China, unlike the global devices which will stick to OxygenOS.
