  • OPPO will likely launch a new A-series smartphone in India next week, the OPPO A78. The OPPO A78 has launched in Malaysia ahead of its rumored India launch. Moreover, the smartphone is a rebranded OPPO A58 that was released in China a few months ago. A MediaTek Dimensity 700 CPU powers the newest A-series smartphone.

    The new OPPO A78 boasts a 90Hz refresh rate display and, like other A-series smartphones, an HD+ resolution. Furthermore, the phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W SuperVOOC charging. Moreover, the smartphone’s price has yet to be announced. The gadget was released in Malaysia and is expected to launch in India on January 14.

    The new Oppo A78 features a 6.54-inch LCD panel with an HD+ (1612×720 pixel) resolution, 269ppi pixel density, and 600nits peak brightness. It has a 90Hz refresh rate display, a punch-hole notch for the front camera, and will have a layer of Panda glass.

    Moreover, The newest A-series smartphone will have an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 CPU with an integrated Mali G57 GPU. Additionally, the gadget has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS2.2 storage. It boots ColorOS 13, which is based on Android 13, right out of the box.

    The Oppo A78 features a dual-rear camera configuration and an LED flash in terms of optics. The primary camera on the phone is a 50-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture. Furthermore, it comes with a black-and-white sensor. For photos and video calls, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
