OPPO A55s 5G has launched in Japan. To recall, the company launched its predecessor, A55 5G back in January this year. Now, it has unveiled an updated version of the device with the A55s moniker. Moreover, the phone surfaced online on website certifications just last week hinting at its launch. Apart from Japan, we can also expect it launch in other markets of South Asia soon.
Oppo A55s Specifications
The Oppo A55s features a 6.5-inch full HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 SoC. It comes along with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. However, there is a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

In terms of camera, the Oppo A55s sports a dual-camera setup on the back where there is a primary 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the front for video calls and selfies. The camera app offers various modes like Ultra Night Mode, Portrait Mode and AI Scene Enhancement.

It is an IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant device. Oppo A55s houses a 4,000mAh battery, which lacks support for fast charging. The other features also offered by the phone include dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
