Oppo unveiled the Oppo A55 5G smartphone in China, earlier this year. Now, the brand has launched OPPO A55 4G into the Indian market. It comes as the latest affordable smartphone by the Chinese company. The new 4G phone comes with a hole-punch display design and features triple rear cameras. In addition, it comes with up to 128GB of storage. Moreover, the device will later go on sale on October 11th via Amazon India and OPPO’s official website.
OPPO A55 4G comes in two variants – 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The base model is available at Rs. 15,490. Whereas, the 6GB RAM model carries a price tag of Rs. 17,490. The 4GB RAM variant will go on sale from October 3, 2021. Although the latter will be available from October 11, 2021, via Amazon and retail outlets.

On the other hand, Oppo A55 4G is now available for pre-booking. Launch offers include a flat Rs, 3,000 discount on using HDFC Bank Debit / Credit Cards. There is also a 6-month free screen replacement offer will be available on Amazon. OPPO’s e-store will also offer a 10 per cent instant discount with Kotak, Bank Of Baroda and Axis Bank as well as no-cost EMIs for up to 3 months. Various other offers will also be available while purchasing the device offline.
Oppo A55 Specifications
It will sport a 6.51 inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels or 269ppi) 8-bit display. The panel comes with a 60Hz refresh, 120Hz touch sampling rate, and 16.7 million colours. It also has a 65 per cent NTSC colour gamut. Moreover, the OPPO A55’s display has a peak brightness of 550 nits under sunlight.

Under the hood, the OPPO A55 4G runs a MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.3GHz. In addition, it is assisted by an IMG GE8320 GPU clocked at 680 MHz. This processing unit is coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. Additionally, the device also supports USB OTG.
There is a triple rear camera setup that comprises a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel portrait sensor for the bokeh effect, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. In addition, Oppo has also provided a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front of the A55 smartphone. The selfie camera sensor is paired with proprietary software features including a 360-degree Fill Light.

Furthermore, Oppo A55 4G packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W Fast Charge. The built-in battery is also claimed to deliver up to 30 hours of talk time or 25 hours of music streaming on a single charge.Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
