OnePlus Watch 2 India Launch Date Revealed, Prebooking Starts

OnePlus has revealed the launch date of its upcoming OnePlus Watch 2 in India and started pre-booking for the smartwatch. The company has also revealed the watch’s design while teasing some of its specifications.

OnePlus Watch 2 To Arrive On February 26 In India

The OnePlus Watch 2 will launch in India on the date February 26 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) at 8:30 PM IST. The company has also started taking pre-bookings for it, and buyers can pre-book the watch by purchasing the Pre-reserve pass for Rs.99.

Furthermore, users who buy the Pre-reserve pass will receive a Rs.1,000 discount on the OnePlus Watch 2 and receive a free OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC. The company has also created a website teasing the features and design of the watch.

The OnePlus Watch 2 has a large circular display with a stainless steel chassis and a sapphire crystal watch face. Furthermore, the company claims it can last up to 100 hours with the Smart Mode turned on.

OnePlus states it is trying to build its own ecosystem of devices with the launch of products like the OnePlus Watch 2, OnePlus Open, OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and the OnePlus Pad.

Watch 2 Expected Specifications

Based on previous leaks and rumours, the OnePlus Watch 2 will have a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display and run on Google’s Wear OS 4. This indicates the upcoming watch will be a massive upgrade over its predecessor, which arrived with a proprietary OnePlus RTOS.

Furthermore, the watch will use the new Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset paired with 1GB of RAM. It will have 4GB of internal storage and a stainless steel build with plain rubber straps.

The OnePlus Watch 2 will be available in black and white colours. Furthermore, it will boast all the requisite health tracking sensors apart from a charging connector on the back.
