OnePlus Summer Launch Event: OnePlus Nord CE 5G India Launch Teased on Amazon

The Nord series which first came into existence in 2020 has gained huge popularity with its affordability and premium-like experience. As we know, all the variants in the lineup have launched separately in different market segments. However, it looks like India will finally see a successor to its OnePlus Nord. OnePlus has now officially revealed that India’s OnePlus Nord CE 5G launch date is June 10th. Moreover, aside from the new smartphone, the Chinese tech company may also launch a new smart-TV series. It looks like this will happen at the OnePlus Summer Launch Event which the brand has teased on its official channels now.

OnePlus Summer Launch Event will bring a host of new products from the brand including TWS and TV portfolio. They posted a tweet announcing a “Summer Launch Event” where we expect to see the launch of new products. The teaser is also now on Amazon, confirming that the products will be available on the e-commerce platform. However, the Amazon landing page does not reveal the name of the smartphone or product. Although if you click the Notify me button you will receive a mail confirming the OnePlus Nord CE 5G India launch.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G launch expected during OnePlus Summer Launch Event

In European and North American markets, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will be the successor of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. Although that is not the case in India. We can expect it to carry the same design with a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a triple rear camera setup, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, we can only speculate until it launches during the OnePlus Summer Launch Event.

On the other hand, a recent report claims OnePlus plans on launching two phones in the Nord series — OnePlus Nord CE 5G and OnePlus Nord 2. It is likely that only one of them launches during the OnePlus Summer Launch Event on June 10th whereas the other on June 25th. Although they can both launch during the event, we cannot be sure. However, recently one thing is for sure that the company has accidentally revealed the Nord 2 moniker online.

Furthermore, in terms of specs, they are still a mystery. It was rumored that the Nord 2 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. Whereas, it is unclear what processor the Nord CE 5G will be using. To recall, OnePlus Nord N10 5G was launched globally with an FHD+ 90Hz display, Snapdragon 690 chipset, and 6GB RAM. The phone offers a 64MP quad-camera system and 4,300mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T fast charging.
