OnePlus launched their flagship OnePlus 9RT in China back in October 14, 2021. Now, the smartphone is all set to finally enter the Indian market as the OnePlus RT. Previously, we reported that the 9RT could “possibly” launch as just the RT in India. However, now, we have good evidence to back up the OnePlus RT India launch.
Noted tipster Mukul Sharma took to Twitter to unveil something very important on this front. He reports that the OnePlus RT moniker was spotted on an Amazon advert via Google Search Results. Now, this not only confirms the India moniker of the device but also hints at the official launch being right around the corner.

One may wonder that this is simply a typographical error. However, that is not the case as the URL is being promoted by Amazon India themselves. Now, this could also be an error on Amazon’s backend front but, that being said, we certainly do hope to witness the OnePlus RT India launch soon. As it is just a rebrand of the 9RT, here’s a quick look at what to expect from the device in India.
OnePlus RT: What to Expect?
To recall, the OnePlus 9RT specs include a 6.62-inch OLED panel. In addition, the device also comes with a fast 120Hz refresh rate panel. We also get to see a peak brightness of 1300 nits alongside 600Hz touch sampling rate and a HDR10+ certification. We can expect to see the RT feature the same specs.

Under the hood, the OnePlus RT can also be expected to be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC. The octa-core chipset will pair up with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For photos and videos, the smartphone will feature the same triple rear camera setup.
Getting into the specifics of the optics, the setup will include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. At the front, the device sports a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. In terms of battery, the OnePlus RT will most likely pack a similar 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
