OnePlus OxygenOS 11.0.3.1 Update Brings Bitmoji, August Security Patches

OnePlus is rolling out a new software update to the OnePlus 7 series including the T-lineup for the series. It finally brings the much-awaited Bitmoji feature to the OnePlus 7 family along with the August security patch level. The latest update, OnePlus OxygenOS 11.0.3.1 will roll out for the GLO region now, EU regions will soon follow.

The new update will include several features including Bitmoji in collaboration with Snapchat. The users can easily add Bitmoji to this new feature to the ambient display. Along with this, it will include major security patches and few improvements. It is already available on the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 8 series. Finally, after updating to OxygenOS 11.0.3.1, the OnePlus 7 series users can find the Bitmoji feature under Settings > Customization > Clock on ambient display > Bitmoji.

The new update also optimises the stability of the NFC feature and allows people to take a screenshot of the ambient display. The OnePlus Store app will also be added to the phones via the update. The app will let people manage their OnePlus account, get convenient access to customer support, get member-only perks, and purchase OnePlus products.

Now, this OnePlus OxygenOS 11.0.3.1 OTA will have a staged rollout. The OTA will be received by a limited number of users for now. Then, it will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. One should note that using VPN to download this build might not work. This is because the rollout is not based on regions. Moreover, it is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices.

Which phones are compatible for the update?

It is rolling out a new update for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and the OnePlus 7T Pro. If you are worried about it causing performance issues, it is not an issue. This is just an incremental update and has since not reported any such issues in the forum.
