In this growing list of smartphone brands extending warranty periods, OnePlus India also joins the league. The brand announces it will extend the warranty till June 30 on all its products in India. However, this is for whose warranty is expiring between April 1 and June 29, 2021. As we all know, this decision comes after the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic in India right now. Moreover, they have also done this same thing last year for the same reason. Furthermore, many other companies have also announced the same for the public.

“To meet some of our customers’ most urgent needs, we have developed the following plan for users in India: To continue providing uninterrupted support during this period, we have extended the warranty for all our products to June 30, 2021, for those with an expiry date between April 1 and June 29, 2021”.

OnePlus India confirms this on the OnePlus Community forum to announce the warranty extension on its products in the country. In addition, they also announce that there will be a delay in delivery for recent product orders to certain locations. Furthermore, the service center operations are temporarily pausing in compliance with Government regulations, the company notes.

Many brands that have recently announced warranty extensions due to COVID-19 lockdown are Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Poco. Moreover, Transsion India has announced that it will extend the warranty on its Tecno and Itel phones by 60 days.
