OnePlus is launching OnePlus Buds Z2 today on October 13, 2021. If we recall, OnePlus recently launched OnePlus Buds Pro in the Indian market. They launched alongside the OnePlus Nord 2 launch event. However, it looks like the company is planning to launch an affordable pair of TWS in the market – Buds Z2. Its predecessor launched last year and is waiting for its upgrade. Let’s take a look at the key features of the leaks ahead of the launch.

OnePlus Buds Z2 Teased Features

Just like Buds Pro, OnePlus Buds Z2 will also launch alongside the OnePlus 9RT smartphone on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in China. In this recent teaser, this new TWS will have a 94ms audio latency providing almost no delay while gaming. Even more so while watching any multimedia content. This is a big upgrade from the 103ms latency on the Buds Z.

Moreover, the TWS earbuds will also support Bluetooth 5.2. It will have three microphones to offer better noise reduction at 40db. The original Buds Z did have 10mm drivers, but the new OnePlus Buds Z2 will be equipped with 11mm drivers. OnePlus claims that the total battery life the buds offer along with the case is up to 38 hours. Additionally, the Z2 will have a transparency mode, which wasn’t present on the previous-gen Buds Z.

Additionally, the OnePlus Buds Z2 will also come with a 520mAh battery. Whereas, each earbud will have a battery capacity of 40mAh. The new earbuds are said to be IP55 rated for sweat and water resistance.

Meanwhile previous renders hint that the OnePlus Buds Z2 will be similar to the original Buds Z in terms of design. These earbuds will have a stem design. Each earbud will have a silicon rubber tip for added grip and sound isolation. The report also states that the ear tips are slightly angled compared to the original Buds Z.
