OnePlus 9RT Reportedly Surfaces on BIS Website; May Launch Soon

OnePlus launched OnePlus 9R early this year. The company is planning to launch a sub-premium variant – the OnePlus 9RT. This is interesting as the rumours of the T-series lineup cancelling surfaced online only weeks ago. Although with this new rumour – it looks like the company can release one soon in India. However, there is no official confirmation from the company as of yet.

The Oneplus 9RT will be a cheaper device as compared to the current selling 9R at around ₹40,000. The leak specifies the price of the Oneplus 9RT standard 8 GB + 128 GB model to be around 3000 yuan which is approximately ₹35,000. The 256 GB variant might be priced around 3600 yuan, i.e. roughly ₹42,000.

Although it looks like the OnePlus 9RT would launch in select few countries, including India and China. Now, the smartphone has seemingly surfaced on the Indian BIS website, suggesting its imminent launch in the country.

Possible OnePlus 9RT Spotted on BIS Certification Website

According to Mukul Sharma, a new OnePlus phone surfaced on the Indian BIS website. The model number is MT2111. Additionally, it could be the OnePlus 9RT. It can launch in 2021 assuming that the ’21’ is in the model number mentioned above. Moreover, it is the only new OnePlus phone that is expecting to launch later this year.

OnePlus 9 RT Specifications

According to leaks, the upcoming OnePlus 9RT will feature the same 120Hz display and processor as the OnePlus 9R. It will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ E3 AMOLED display with 2400×1080pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. A 16 MP secondary camera might be put up as a punch-hole on display. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The only upgrade that it will see is the camera setup over the OnePlus 9R. The upcoming device will also have the 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor as the primary lens, supporting OIS, which Is absent in the 9R. Other sensors of the handset will include a 16MP Sony IMX481 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP B&W sensor.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 9RT will be powering on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. It will have 12GB RAM and up to 256G storage. Additionally, the smartphone will run OxygenOS 12, based on Android 12. It can also pack a 4,500 mAh battery, the smartphone will also support a 65W charging tech, NFC, and a dual stereo speaker setup. We will know more as leaks come in for the smartphone. Although, there is no confirmation as of now from the company.
