OnePlus 9 Series Confirmed to Come With Snapdragon 888, Ahead Of Launch

Just days before the official launch, leaks on the OnePlus new flagship series are popping every moment. According to a fresh leak, the OnePlus 9 series will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. However, what’s more, interesting is that both Qualcomm and OnePlus have confirmed the news. Additionally, the company also released a dedicated store app in North America and Canada to let customers easily pre-order the upcoming phones.

OnePlus Store, the app is available for download through Google Play. It requires customers to sign in to their OnePlus account (or create one) in order to pre-order. OnePlus is also bringing a loyalty reward program called the OnePlus Club for its customers in North America. Moreover, the company also confirms the OnePlus 9 series will come with Hasselblad-branded cameras.

Earlier this week, there were confirmations on OnePlus 9 Pro display specs. In addition, the company also teased the OnePlus Watch design as well. Many other companies are also in line to launch their flagships with Snapdragon 888 SoC.

There were rumors on the OnePlus 9 series to come bearing the chipset. However, with this tweet, it stands confirmed. Snapdragon 888 Mobile Platform is based on a 5nm process and delivers clock speeds of up to 2.84GHz. The chipset comes with a new Qualcomm Spectra 580 ISP that offers a Triple Image Signal Processor and it is equipped with the 3rd generation Snapdragon X60 5G Modem-RF for Sub-6 and mmWave 5G connectivity.

In addition to the confirmation, OnePlus has released some camera samples of the OnePlus 9 series. These samples highlight the advancements coming from the Hasselblad camera available on the upcoming phones. Last week, the company shared initial camera samples that indicated compelling landscape photography through the new OnePlus phones.

The OnePlus 9 series launch is taking place on March 23. The company is expected to have three phones under the series, namely the OnePlus 9, the OnePlus 9 Pro, and the OnePlus 9E/ OnePlus 9E. It will also unveil the anticipated OnePlus Watch alongside the three new smartphones.
