US-based chipset maker NVIDIA has announced a partnership with the Indian Tata Group to develop AI solutions for India. Recently, the American company partnered with Reliance Industries to develop a large language model trained on the country’s diverse languages.
Tata And NVIDIA To Develop AI Supercomputer
Tata and NVIDIA will collaborate to create an AI supercomputer running on NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip. According to NVIDIA, this chip can achieve the “best-in-class performance” for AI workloads.
NVIDIA And Tata To Create AI Cloud For India
Additionally, NVIDIA will help TCS develop a cloud-based AI to provide critical infrastructure for high-speed computing and upskilling around 600,000 TCS employees. This AI cloud will provide a platform for enterprises to transfer data at high speed and deploy AI-based applications. Furthermore, it will help bring state-of-the-art AI capabilities to the thousands of organizations, researchers and businesses in India.

“We are delighted to partner with Tata as they expand their cloud infrastructure service with NVIDIA AI supercomputing to support the exponential demand of generative AI startups and processing of large language models,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA.

TCS will take advantage of the AI Infrastructure and its capabilities to build and process generative AI applications. Consequently, this will allow TCS to collaborate with its customers and offer an AI-first approach. The partnership between Tata and NVIDIA is a huge milestone for developing AI-driven applications in India. The GPU maker’s collaboration with Jio and Tata can help accelerate the adoption of AI solutions across the industry.
